After a devastating betrayal by her true love, Cyndi creates a new identity (as Ana) and embarks upon a solo trek biking across Costa Rica.

Armed with only an English-Spanish dictionary and her intuition to guide her, Ana searches for the truth behind the betrayal. But along the way, she suffers a series of missteps as she becomes lost in a jungle at nightfall, sleeps on an exploding volcano next to a man armed with a machete, and becomes cornered on a white water rafting trip gone wrong.

Throughout it all, Ana falls in love with an ideal people she thought only existed in her mind. But when she comes face-to-face with the ultimate test, she must learn who to trust if she will ever return home alive.
